Great school for working adults

Oct 2021

I have been a student at AIL Málaga for three months. I take two 1.5 hour night courses twice a week. When I started, I knew some basic phrases. I have absolutely seen an improvement in my Spanish speaking ability and enjoy classes each week. I still have a long way to go; however, I am confident that I will be conversational with the help of AIL in no time.

The staff are helpful and friendly, and the prices are great. So if you are looking for an affordable in-person class at convenient times with great teachers and students, check out AIL Malaga!

Enchanting and challenging

Nov 2019

I'm not a typical learner, and I knew it would be hard to find the right class for me. AIL's teachers are all so talented and experienced that they customized classes for me on the fly. Malaga itself is enchanting, as well. We loved every min of our two weeks there. Wish we could stay a month!

Great school for learning Spanish

Aug 2019

Ive been a student for only a week at Ail Malaga school but definitely it was not enough because the school is just fantastic! Every lesson is full of very interesting activities where we have a chance to practise all learning skills. Teachers are great! They are not only very creative but also give us a lot of useful information about the country, food, people, spanish customs etc. And the location of the school is just perfect! Only a short walk from the beach! I would love to go back there again and recommend it to anybody who is crazy about learning Spanish!!

Wonderful experience!

Aug 2018 • Family

(Video) Student´s opinion about - AIL MALAGA accommodation

It was not easy to find an immersion option for a family of 5, but AIL Malaga set us up with a wonderful family near the school. The family was incredibly kind and accommodating, treating our 3 children like their own. We learned so much Spanish from living with a local family, and we appreciate AIL Malaga for connecting us with them.

The school’s instruction was great! They were flexible enough to allow me to have an experience with other students with different ability levels, which is not easy to do. I was in a class with a yoga instructor from Australia, a retired couple from Ireland, and a teacher from Sweden. While we all had different levels of Spanish proficiency, the professor was able to make each class a rich learning experience for all of us. We learned about each others’ cultures and Spanish culture, while learning Spanish. I learned more in one week than I could have ever thought possible!

In addition to the wonderful instruction and accommodations, the school also organized several community outings designed to help further learn Spanish language and culture. We were lucky to get to attend some cooking classes where we learned to make paella, tortillas, and empanadas (in addition to learning a lot of Spanish).

The Director was very kind and easy to work with and helped my family with all of our plans.
I would recommend AIL Malaga to anyone wanting to learn Spanish.

Muy bien!

Oct 2016 • Solo

When I decided I wanted to book a 2 weeks Spanish course in Spain, I had no idea how hard it would be to find a course! In the end I went for AIL as I had heard of the one in Madrid and the` prices seemed good for Malaga. I am so glad I did! My teacher was lovely and really helped me figure out which bits of my Spanish needed improving and then helped me to do it, and the school itself had a lovely atmosphere, everyone said ‘hola’ to each other and I got quite used to practising a bit of Spanish in the morning break with the staff! The school is very small but it didn’t bother me at all, actually I think it was better for my Spanish as I really had to speak up in class and it was almost like a private lesson for me and my 3 classmates. I also think my Spanish got even better for staying with a host family. It was hard at first with my rusty Spanish but my ’mum’ was really lovely and we soon got on very easily. Gracias Carmen for feeding me so well too :) The school’s location was perfect, even though it was October the weather was warm and I could go to the beach after class in about 5 mins. A highlight was visiting the castle and the Alcazaba, highly recommend and thank you to Rafael for letting me know about the student price!! I also did a few of the activities offered with the course (an afternoon in Nerja and a visit to the Picasso museum and Pompidou) which were great, Nerja in particular is beautiful and very Mediterranean feeling, plus a really amazing view at the Balcony of Europe. All in all I loved my time at AIL and think my Spanish is so much better after just 2 weeks! If I have another 2 weeks spare, I will be coming back for sure! Thank you AIL and hasta pronto :)
