I LOVE Deluxe nail salon and spa and I absolutely LOVE Emily! She is so good with design. I’ve been getting my nails done regularly for the last about 15 years and this salon and the employees are literally the best of ever been to/had. I one hundred thousand times would recommend this salon to anyone who wants beautiful nails at a very reasonable price!

I usually come to Deluxe for pedicures, have for the past few years! I like to try out different locations based on where I am at the time, and I usually don’t have problems (I love the atmosphere!) Last Wednesday October 19th, my friend and I went in for after work pedicures, and I think I had the worst service ever coming here. My tech, Kevin, was rough the ENTIRE time, never once was nice or smiled. He treated me like I was a chore and like he did not want to be servicing me. There were so many red flags where I should’ve just walked out, but I did not want to leave my friend. He cut me three times with 2 different tools (knew and did not say sorry, just told me to move), yanked on my toes instead of communicating where he wanted me to be, skipped the massage (that was included in the price?), stared at me in annoyance at one point without saying a word or servicing me (?), did not lotion my feet, another employee walked by and joked with him about my service (making it obvious he was talking trash about it with them) and truly was rude the entire service. I was so disappointed, and even more so to find out that he did not cure my gel correctly when half of my big toe polish peeled off the next day. I would’ve thought maybe this is how they are an hour before close but my friend had excellent service where her tech was gentle, kind, and talked to her, and there were other customers in the salon. I won’t be back to this location, so sad they found this acceptable. Would not get serviced from this tech.

The staff here did a beautiful job with our gel manicures. The facility is state-of-the-art and offers endless options of nail colors. They do manicures, pedicures, gels, and waxing. Definitely check pricing once you get there, for clarity.

Went here to try out gel x nails. Jessie did a great job on my manicure. She was efficient and knew the technique well. Only reason I am knocking a star off is that the salon was 15 min late to my appt time and charged $15 for the chrome powder. Chrome is about $8 on Amazon and is a really simple thing to apply to nails, so I felt it was overcharged. Overall, a good experience typical of a busy salon.

I’ve been twice for a gel manicure with a group of 3-4. The online scheduling was so easy and worked great. We were able to sit the three of us together, but with four people they split two and two- it was a busy evening, no problem at all. The first gel manicure I got stayed perfect for 3 weeks. No chips at all. The second gel manicure chipped on two nails three days after getting it, disappointing but it happens. I called to see if I could get a fix- they were very pleasant and had openings as soon as that afternoon. The fix took about 15 minutes, was complimentary and looks as good, maybe better than before. I will definitely be coming back, it’s clean and bright and doesn’t have the same acrylic nail/acetone smell that many nail places do.

Emily did a wonderful job with my nails! Very precise and helped me with my color selection. I wanted ombre SNS and thought I wanted dark colors but she did the pink and white and I am in love with them!

This was my first time here. I tried gel x for the first time because it’s better for your nails and they didn’t offer acrylic there. My tech did a great job on my nails they looked great when I left. Within 5 hours i had two nails pop off. I’ve never had nails lift or pop off so soon and i’ve gotten my nails done for years. I went back and told them what happened and they fixed it for free but said they popped off because my nail beds are too short. I’m not sure why I wasn’t told to do dip or another form of nails since my nail beds are too short for gel ex instead of having me come in again and get those two nails fixed just to have two more lift three days after. Although they fixed them for free , id rather pay 60 + dollars for a set that i don’t have to have fixed then pay 60 + dollars and get free fixes. This set didn’t even last me a week.

I have been coming to deluxe- alternating between all 3 cincinnati area locations- and the last two times I have used this service, it has been terrible. The previous manicure I had in November was bad but bearable- the tech rushed through the whole process and left a ridge in my nails where the top met my fingernail. They did last a whole month, and the color was beautiful. The last time I went was this past week. I usually do sns, and I decided not to get a tip because I didn’t want too much length. The color I picked was white and a sparkly overcoat. The tech did a great job on my feet, was very professional, but when it came to my hands, she used a stained polish that was more red than clear when applying they dip powder. The white powder quickly became pink. She also did not shake or brush off excess dip, which left my nails looking like I had globs of cookie dough on my nails. And she proceeded to trim them shorter. So they just looked stupid and ugly at this point. Before she finished, I told her I just wanted my check and I wanted to go. I didn’t want to stay another moment in the shop when I knew they were going to charge me 120 dollars for the decent pedicure and the horrendous manicure. The management came over, asked what was wrong, ( as if the nails looked good!), assessed the situation and double checked the powder to make sure I wasn’t lying about the color I had originally chosen. I asked to come back and have them totally redone the next day. They refused and attempted to fix them on the spot, which took another 45 minutes. No refund or discount was offered. The nails look less doughy but still very pink. The customer service has become less about pleasing the customer and more about saving face. This isn’t how you treat your customers.

Is $5 a good tip for a pedicure? ›

Is it rude to not tip for a pedicure? ›

Regardless of whether you're getting a basic pedicure or you upgrade to the full-on spa treatment, you should still be tipping your nail technician. Why do nail salons want you to pay cash? ›

  • If longevity is a priority, opt for a gel or dip powder manicure.
