GARRETT, Velma, “Dorine” – Age 93 of Petrolia, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Bluewater Health, Sarnia with family by her side. Beloved wife of the late Ronald Garrett. Loving mother of William Ronald Garrett (Coralie). Cherished grandmother of Josiah, Katie (Ali), Rachel, and Jodi. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Burt and Nellie Warwick, her son James Frederick Garrett “Jim” and sister in laws Edith Waters, Ethel Garrett and Jean McIsaac. Dorine was a registered nurse for many years at Bluewater Health C.E.E Petrolia, and she was a member of the Petrolia Anglican Bell Ringers Choir. A sincere thank-you to the staff at Albany Retirement Home and Lambton Meadowview Villa for your compassionate care.
Funeral Details
Family and friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, Brigden on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 6 pm to 8 pm. A Private Funeral service will be held on a later date.

She was small but mighty. Loving, compassionate and fiesty. She took me under her wing as when needed but balanced that with wisdom to give freedom. Her ability to care unconditionally knew no bounds.

Thinking of all the Garrett Families , I got to know Dorine while she attended our Day Program a few years back . Dorine was suck a sweetheart and loved to chat with everyone .
