Having initiated the "Save the Mourning Snakes" quest, which will unlock Junah's Masked Dancer Archetype (and grant you the chance to get her as a follower soon thereafter), it's time for another Metaphor: ReFantazio optional dungeon. This time, your destination is the Orbwise Path.

Prepare for a challenging hike through Nord Mine in Metaphor: ReFantazio.
This guide endeavors to give you the full layout of the Orbwise Path, as well as what you'll encounter along the way, and how to get every treasure this place has to offer. When you reach the end, we'll re-link the "Save the Mourning Snakes" guide, which will help you to defeat the boss, Kokasadors, in style.
The Anxious Mustari Soldier

From the entrance, the path splits north and east, but the east path is a dead end. Follow north, and prepare for the first of many sandworm-type enemies which will attempt to ambush you. You'll almost certainly tear through them without squad battle, though.
Speak with the Anxious Mustari Soldier, who will gift you two Heartwarmer items to cure the Frostbite ailment. As he mentions, the local worms can inflict this pesky ailment.
Just past the soldier, the path forks into four routes: west, slightly northwest, and slightly northeast, and southeast. Quickly take the southeast direction to scoop up a Magla Injection.
Head back to the soldier. This time, go west, grabbing the Emperor White Mask from the nearby treasure chest. Don't go back yet - instead, check to the south of the chest for a crawlspace that leads to the following four (!) treasures:
- A Hero's Jewelled Root, which increases Archetype EXP by 1000
- A Sapphire to sell
- A Spangenhelm gear item, which offers 95 DEF and Endurance +4
- An Empress White mask to compliment that Emperor White Mask you just got
Between The Soldiers

At this point, you should still have two paths to take. (If you can view the above image, your map might look like ours up there at this time.) We'll start with the northwest path. Clear the worms; the blue item's a Malnova Hardwood.
In this area, the path once again splits: two routes to the north, and one route to the east. First, take the north route, which wraps around, leading to an Azure Dew and a staircase.
Don't use the stairs yet; let's clear out this floor first. Take the east route this time. There's a blue item, Saccharine Stalk, to get. Continue east - you can't get those chests from here.
Don't miss the Gold Beetle, which is located on your side of the obstacles blocking the chest, very slightly southeast from the lower of the two chests!
Take the south path from the unattainable treasure chests, passing another staircase to meet the Uneasy Mustari.
The Uneasy Mustari

After chatting them up, follow the passage west to flip a switch and move through the newly-cleared spot to get a Malnova Hardwood. Now, return to the Uneasy Mustari.
This time, go north from the Uneasy Mustari, past those darned blocked treasure chests, to find a chest with Miraculous Medicine.
By now, you should have this floor's map as complete as possible, with two staircases; one northwest from the chests, and one slightly southwest. We started with the northwest stairs, back where you got that Azure Dew.
Right off the bat here, there are two ledges to jump down from. Don't use either yet. There's a second Gold Beetle, as well as another Saccharine Stalk. You should now jump down the one further to the right to return to where the Miraculous Medicine was.
If you're curious about that other ledge, it simply leads you down to the first floor at another, less useful, location.
We're pretty close to the other staircase, the one southwest from the chests. Go ahead and take the stairs now.

Here's how to beat Homo Fulquilo in the Nord Mines in Metaphor: ReFantazio.
The Young Mustari

Squad Battle Enemies | Notes |
---|---|
Kapcero Sondro | Weak to Wind. Uses Hyper to increase its magical damage, Thunderstruck Thrust to deal medium Electric damage and lower Defense, and Kandeon and Gakendeon to deal single-target and party-wide heavy Electric, respectively. |
Waterworm Valmo | Should die quickly, but if you leave it for a second turn, it may very well inflict Frostbite. |
This is the first place that you'll encounter enemies that will probably actually require a squad battle. The Kapceros Sondros along the water on this floor will leap out, so take care not to get ambushed.
Across the little water-sided corridor, you can go either north or west. Choose north to get a Magician White Mask. Back to the fork, go west this time. Follow the long route as it goes north, and then veers east.
When this results in north and south options, the north pick sends you to a dead end with an appraisable Mossy Threads, so grab it and then go south. The Young Mustari here strongly doubts our motivations, but in fairness, outsiders haven't been very nice to these people.
At any rate, you can only keep moving right afterward, but instead of going north afterward toward Plateau, find the crawlspace along the lower end of the wall, just prior to the north turn. Go through!
The Cat

You'll soon find a ladder, and just past that, a ledge that leads back to Plateau. Let's climb the ladder. You wind up back on the first floor, but you're now able to access those treasure chests from earlier.
The first chest has a Ruby, which is fine. The second chest has a Bloodthirsty Vestment, which is terrific. 250 DEF is no slouch at this point in Metaphor: ReFantazio, but the real deal is the HP recovery after defeating an enemy in squad battles.
After you get the chests, turn back around, and flip the switch nearby for another simple shortcut. You've now seen everything Orbwise Path has to offer, so head to Plateau, save your game, and prepare for the boss fight - which we've got a guide for right here!
