A Netflix World War Two film that's captured hearts across the globe, is being dubbed a genuine "must watch" by viewers who've been profoundly moved to tears by its poignant narrative.
Number 24 chronicles the life of Gunnar Sønsteby and the legendary Oslo Gang, which he valiantly led in a series of high-stakes sabotage ops throughout the war, battling for Norway's freedom with unyielding courage.
Starting out as an accountant, Sønsteby's world was turned upside down when the Nazis occupied Norway in 1940. He swiftly joined up with the Norwegian forces for combat in Eastern Norway before plunging into the resistance.
Despite multiple arrests by the Gestapo, Sønsteby's cunning allowed him one dramatic escape when he convinced his captors of his innocence. His continued resistance efforts ranged from intelligence work to completing missions for the British Legation in Stockholm.
Partaking in some of the most audacious sorties of the war, Sønsteby acquired numerous pseudonyms and earned widespread renown. Post-war, his journey took him to Harvard, where he furthered his education in Boston, reports the Mirror US.

Another added: "Director John Andreas Andersen's Nr. 24 war film is a masterful storytelling of the frightening phase of an evil despotic usurpation. Nr. 24 is an essential watch that eerily resonates with the state of the world today. The horrendous and brutal stronghold that nazism held over people is a warning that democracy is fragile and if not protected firmly...can be destroyed-a must-see for war film buffs."
