Who doesn’t love the taste of clumps of peanuts surrounded by rich chocolate? Well, today is the day to indulge. March 8 is National Peanut Cluster Day.

Chocolates and peanuts are both popular tastes that have their own national days. National Peanut Day is honored on September 13.

Even without peanuts involved, chocolate gets a bunch of their own national days. October 28 is National Chocolate Day, and July 7 is World Chocolate day.

We also celebrate National Bittersweet Chocolate day on January 10 and National Chocolate Covered Anything Day on December 16.

But for today, we get to combine the sweet and salty tastes into one delicious bite for National Peanut Cluster Day.

What are peanut clusters?

Peanut clusters are snacks that are very popular but surprisingly easy to make. They are ready in just minutes, so you can enjoy them anytime you like.

The snack is made by melting chocolate and adding peanuts into the mixture and then stirring them into cluster like shapes.

What ingredients are in peanut clusters?

The recipe varies from recipe to recipe but many recipes use some combination of White candy coating, semisweet chocolate chips, milk chocolate chips and dry roasted peanuts.

They get dropped by spoonfuls on to a silicone mat or parchment paper and then you let them harden. Presto! A peanut cluster!

Once you make these tasty sweet treats, you will want to make sure they keep their flavor.

Store peanut clusters in an air tight container in the fridge for up to one month. They also freeze well.
