Topic: What is the best invention of last 100 years, the computer, antibiotics, the airplane, and explain why?

Model Answer 1

Since the last century, science and technology have improved significantly. In all sectors, it has improved human life. The introduction of computers was the most revolutionary invention of all. In fact, computers have become essential for every business one can imagine, including finance, travel, healthcare, aviation, and education.
A student today would be unable to imagine continuing their studies without access to computers. The "Internet" has significantly reduced the size of the world by making information available at the press of a button on any subject. It helps them with their projects and broadens their topic knowledge.
The use of the World Wide Web to communicate has ingrained itself into daily life. Now, family members and friends may video chat from anywhere on the earth. Through maintaining constant contact with their scattered loved ones, this has opened up a whole new world for people. With the perspective of travel, work, and live even thousands of miles apart. Computers may now be considered a necessary instrument for ongoing innovation in all sectors. If computers hadn't aided the scientists, the development of efficient antibiotics would not have been possible at this rate. Similar to how the aviation sector would not have thrived with its use. Even with their negative sides, computers are predicted to do even more wonders for humanity in the years to come.
In conclusion, there have been many inventions in the past 100 years that have improved the world and made it a better place. But computer technology is the best of them all because it has transformed how we live our lives. In addition, the way we communicate with one another, generally makes our lives more convenient and easy.

Model Answer 2

The most important invention of the 20th century, according to many, was the computer. Although they have become a need in the twenty-first century, I would argue that computers cannot perform the most important tasks.
Computers have, to start, clearly benefited people's lives in a great number of ways. First of all, because of the Internet's explosive growth, computers may aid individuals in expanding their perspectives. One example is that English majors can utilise YouTube to enhance their pronunciation. Students' academic performance is enhanced as a result. The second point is that computers are excellent at maths. Therefore, computers would aid scientists in completing calculations and research without requiring a great deal of time. This has significantly helped in the improvement of humans. For instance, computers were crucial to Niel Amstrong's mission to the moon. The greatest important scientific advance of the 20th century, and they were used extensively in that effort.
Computers are an important invention, but they are not the most significant one of the 20th century. First of all, many individuals, both adults and teenagers, use computers as leisure time activities. Young individuals can easily obtain violent action videos from the Internet and so easily copy the violent behaviours. The rate of crime would be negatively impacted by this. As an illustration, the negative effects of violent video games contribute to an alarmingly high prevalence of youth crime in Vietnam. Second, because of the speed and convenience of computers, many prefer to shop online. This includes everyday necessities, such as food and clothing, rather than going to brick-and-mortar establishments. Internet scams and people's laziness could result from this.
For a more concrete illustration, consider the rising number of people who have reported their private information. This has been exposed due to someone else's carelessness. In conclusion, even if computers are becoming more and more important in people's lives, I don't think they are the most essential.

Model Answer 3

Computers have without a doubt been the foundation of all advancements that humans have ever made. It is difficult to envision living in the present day without computers. Even if the development of computers has been a great benefit to humanity, it is important to remember that many other inventions came before them.
On the one hand, I agree with the assertion that computers have demonstrated their significance by not only streamlining people's daily tasks. But also by emerging as a key component in ground-breaking breakthroughs.
For instance, a quick PC may now be used to solve the renowned Towers of Hanoi problem, which was formerly believed to be insurmountable. Similar to how the invention of computers helped people succeed in the fields of data analytics, robot development, and launching spacecraft to other planets. Modern computational technology, on the other hand, is heavily reliant on a number of other technologies, such as the microprocessor system. To give an example, consider how fundamental concepts like microprocessors, logic, and arithmetic underlie the entire framework. This is associated with machine learning and artificial intelligence. Regression model analysis is a sophisticated computation used in data analytics. And as a result, the computer system needs highly effective microprocessors and integrated electronics.
Therefore, even while computers have formed the foundation of many rapidly developing technologies. There are other technologies that are just as important as computers.
The underlying processors and data storage technology, for example, have shown to be significantly more significant contributors to the technological improvements. This has been outlined in the second paragraph than the development of the computer itself, in part due to the quick pace of their evolution. Data storage cannot be replaced, not even by machines with cutting-edge processors. Any data cannot be analysed unless it is kept in a structured location, such as a local server or the cloud. Because of this, memory is another equally important development from the last century that cannot be replaced by any other technology.
