You can wear water shoes or sandals to walk around the park, but for your safety you will be asked to hold them when you go on the attractions. Water shoes or sandals can catch on the slide on your way down, causing possible injury.

Avoid any accidents while walking around the wet and slippery water park by wearing secure sandals or flip-flops when walking between attractions. Find a pair that is waterproof and that fit your feet perfectly for the safest and most convenient experience while walking around the park.

For most all attractions there, you'll even be able to wear them down the water slides. Do make sure they are true water shoes, however, as flip flops are not permitted on the water slides themselves. I will say that I have pretty sensitive feet but most of the time I don't pack water shoes for the water park.

In order to be able to wear your shoes on the slides and other water attractions, you need to make sure they don't have any metal buckles or fasteners, and you need to make sure they are secure on your feet (unlike flip flops which can easily fall off).

Water parks often recommend wearing secure and water-resistant footwear to prevent slipping, so water shoes or sandals with straps may be a better choice for safety and comfort. When visiting a water park, it's important to prioritise safety and comfort.

Water shoes or sandals can catch on the slide on your way down, causing possible injury. You can hold your shoes on all rides except Corkscrew Cavern and Cliffhanger, or leave them at the bottom of the ride.

Don't be tempted to walk around barefoot – if any rides or areas do not allow water shoes, take them off only in those areas and then put water shoes right back on. Before going to the park, make sure everyone's feet are washed and cleaned.

Neoprene Booties

A bootie may be best if you love swimming or surfing or immerse your feet in cold water for long periods. Constructed of neoprene, this type of water shoe is comfortable and warm. They're designed to fit snugly, like a glove. The neoprene will absorb and hold water in its porous fabric.

Water shoes or flip flops are a good idea as they will protect your feet from hot concrete and prevent slipping. Just be sure they are securely fastened to your feet to avoid losing them on water slides.

Opt for Lycra swimwear that allows freedom of movement and ensures a secure fit. Consider wearing a rash guard or swim shirt to protect your skin from the sun and potential friction on water slides. Don't forget to bring a comfortable pair of water shoes or flip-flops to navigate the park's surfaces easily.

Can you wear Crocs at a water park? ›

Yes, you can wear watershoes throughout the park. If they are the "real" water shoes, you can leave them on for the slides. For shoes like crocs you can hold them while you go down. We always wear shoes, the pavement just gets way too hot!

Footwear other than aqua socks are not allowed in any attraction. Aqua socks are not permitted on body slides.

I would not recommend flip flops or slip on sandals for the roller coasters. They would likely fall off during some of the rides. Helpful? A firm fitting buckled up sandal strapped around the ankle would be allowed.

Inappropriate swimwear is NOT permitted and includes but is not limited to underwear, boxers, briefs; attire that is transparent or translucent in private areas; attire with exposed metal, rivets, buttons, zippers, buckles or snaps that could be abrasive to other swimmers and/or attractions; long pants, jeans, denim, ...

Water sneakers are designed to look and feel like regular athletic shoes but are built with quick-drying, water-resistant materials. They're great for more active pursuits such as water hiking or trail running in wet conditions. These are often the most comfortable options.

The first thing to decide is: Do you want your skin covered or exposed? If you prefer to cover more skin, try a t-shirt dress or a t-shirt with shorts, a skirt, or loose pants. You might like a swim shirt that has long sleeves but is made to keep you cool. These shirts often have UV protection built in.

Sandals. Some people have that one pair of sandals that are the most comfortable pair in the world, if that is you, by all means, wear them. But just remember, wearing sandals at the theme park may not be the best decision if you're going to be on your feet for 8-9 hours at a theme park.

Resort Casual: Shorts or jeans, t–shirts or polo shirts. Swimwear must be covered. Shirts and footwear required. Resort Evening: Dress pants or jeans for men, long or short sleeve dress shirts (with or without collar).

Water shoes (not flip-flops!): Flip-flops have to continually be taken on and off, but water shoes will allow for you to enjoy all areas without leaving shoes unattended at every ride.
