Types of Knee Braces
Shortrunner Breg Knee Brace
The Shortrunner is the “jack of all trades” Breg Knee Brace. The polycentric hinges provide superior support and control for a large list of injuries and instabilities. This list includes, but is not limited to: Mild Knee Osteoarthritis (OA), Meniscal Injuries, and Ligament Injuries or Instabilities.
Economy Hinge Breg Knee Brace
The Economy Hinge Breg Knee Brace is similar to the Shortrunner Breg Knee Brace but is designed for more mild instabilities. The hinge is low profile and contained in a pocket which makes it an ideal knee brace for an athlete playing contact sports with low loads, such as wrestling. This brace is very cost effective.
Recover Breg Knee Brace
The Recover Breg Knee Brace is very versatile as it is an effective post operative and post injury knee brace as well as an everyday knee brace upon recovery. It features the Breg T-Scope Premier hinge which allows the range of motion to be adjusted and controlled with ease. The Recover Breg Knee Brace is a universal fit for a right or left leg and is a wraparound design for easy application.
Freestyle Breg Knee Brace
The Freestyle Breg Knee Brace was designed with the patient’s needs in mind. It provides a simple wraparound design for easy application, comfortable, breathable material and a single sided low profile hinge. The hinge features a low profile thumb wheel which allows the patient to control and adjust the level of offloading * applied to the medial or lateral aspect of their knee. This is a good option for a patient suffering from mild Osteoarthritis.
*The term offloading is when we remove some of the pressure from one side of the knee which can relief some or all of the knee pain.
T-Scope Premier Post Operative Breg Knee Brace
The T-Scope Premier Post Operative Breg Knee Brace is a comfortable lightweight knee brace that provides protected, controlled range of motion for patients who are recovering from knee injury and/or knee surgery. This knee brace features a user-friendly hinge to control the range of motion and can be used for a wide range of patient sizes due to the customization options of the straps and telescoping bars.
Freerunner Breg Knee Brace
The Freerunner Breg Knee Brace provides compression and support for patients who have patellofemoral knee pain or discomfort due to a patellofemoral knee injury, maltracking, or subluxation. It is lightweight and low profile but also very strong and tear resistant.
Patella Tendon Strap Breg Knee Brace
The Patella Tendon Strap Breg Knee Brace is for individuals dealing with patellar tendonitis, sometimes referred to as “Jumper’s Knee”. The Patella Tendon Strap Breg Knee Brace is extremely low profile and provides adjustable compression to the patella which can decrease knee pain.
PTO Breg Knee Brace
The PTO Breg Knee Brace stands for Patella Tracking Orthosis. This is one of the most effective knee braces on the market for patellofemoral pain and symptoms. It is also available with aluminum high performance bars for athletes. The PTO Breg Knee Brace adjusts the amount of compression applied from the outside of the knee to relieve discomfort by forming a soft tissue wall that controls the patella’s path.
